Eating local, eating healthy, eating tasty…it can be the trifecta of tricky, amiright? Well, on a quest to make it a little easier is Chicago-based food company Here, who makes veggie and bean dips worth their weight in vocalized  “can I have seconds?” Not only do these yummy creations support local farmers and utilize Midwestern produce, but they’re seriously delicious, people. (Did you see Jasper reaching for more in the above photo? Yes, I’m a blogger, but no, he won’t feign interest in a snack for all the unlimited streaming television in the world.)

Six flavor varieties are currently available at Whole Foods, Mariano’s, and more. Here’s what we tried: the curry lentil turmeric dip, an edamame pea sesame dip, and basil white bean dip. (They also make a superb orange, zucchini, spinach, kale, and lemon juice smoothie— which the kids called THE BEST ORANGE JUICE EVER— and we also tried a lemon and basil garlic vinaigrette which I also added to gluten-free pasta, veggies, and Parmesan for a downright killer primavera. So good.) And the verdict on the dips? Our hands-down fave was the basil and white beans (which was a like a glorious yet slightly more filling pesto), but the edamame and sesame one was gone fairly quickly, too. P.J. and I really dug the complex spiciness of the curry and could easily make some semi-fancy apps in no time flat. That is, if we didn’t eat a questionable amount in one sitting.

Which we did.

(And you will, too. Here’s a nice place to start. )

MeshCanvas

MeshCanvas4

It’s no secret that I’m crazy about finding fun new ways to display art and photos in our home, and I’m thrilled to say that I’ve found a great company to add to the roster of people making my life prettier— and easier!

The folks behind the Printage App (a free, universal app that works with Android, iPads, and iPhones running iOS7+) have created MeshCanvas, your new fave wall art solution. They come in two sizes— square (8″ x 8″ x 0.75″) and rectangle (8″ x 12″ x 0.75″)— and are incredibly lightweight. That said, the boards are heavy duty (and scratch resistant!), and are made up of polystyrene foam between two wood-fiber veneer layers. And the photo quality? Exceptional. I couldn’t believe how beautiful these babies looked- especially since I exuded almost zero effort in hanging them. Each photo board comes with four adhesive squares to attach to your wall; they can be removed and repositioned up to ten times.

The end result was a beautifully curated stairwell wall (the one I’ve been jonesing to redo for years and years). [Easily] transitory decor? I’m a superfan. Check them out here. You know, maybe to update the ol’ baby photos before the “baby” goes off to college?

Snuggle-Pedic

snugglepedic

You guys, I love to sleep. I’m a napperfessional. So when I tell you that the Snuggle-Pedic pillow is the best place I’ve ever laid my head, you’ve pretty much got to believe me. (This popular opinion is shared by 7k verified Amazon users, too, as it’s one of the bestselling pillows on the darned site.)

Why do I love/crave this pillow? For starters, it’s ridiculously comfortable. It’s made from a premium bamboo shredded memory foam combo which creates a luxurious feel. The Snuggle-Pedic comes in four sizes as well as a full body pillows, and each is hypoallergenic, low VOC, and dust mite-resistant. The fact that the 100% USA-made pillows are from a company that goes above and beyond doesn’t hurt, either. They customize the foam blend for folks and, have a 90-day free trial, a downright bonkers 20 year guarantee and, if something doesn’t feel quite right, they’ll adjust the fill of the pillow for free and pay shipping both ways.

Friends, I sleep like a [well-supported] rock on this thing. It’s magical. Magical.

Check out these wonderful peeps here– and we’ll talk after we’re both rested and stunning.

Lily & Me Decals

PitangoStudioLilyMe

As a mama, I love to support family-owned endeavors. As a homeowner, I love to support endeavors that make my kid-heavy areas cooler. Pitango Studio Design’s Lily & Me decals were created by designers (and mothers!)— and they’re pretty much my new favorite method of communication with my children.

Made of eco-friendly PVC and a water-based adhesive, the decals feature a set of girls…and their pets…and their accessories…and their pets’ accessories…and, my favorite part: cartoon word bubbles for above the girls’ heads. These, alongside the accompanying dry erase marker, allow the characters to speak their feelings…and my kids’ feelings…and my kids’ feelings about the characters’ feelings…

Rinse. Repeat.

Not only does it allow for endless hours of open-ended play (and design!), but it’s pretty fantastic to see what’s actually going on in my daughters’ brains. See: Nora’s above declaration that she’s great at skateboarding (…?) Jasper got into the fun as well, but mainly to draw on some puppies. To each their own.

Extremely fun creating that won’t damage the walls and is easily removable? If it’s not on your birthday/holiday/Valentine’s Day wishlists, well then, fear not. I’ll probably be sending your kid a set because it’s that terrific.

To get the sharing started, enter the Rafflecopter below and win your set ASAP! You’re welcome.

Love, Keely
