A Virtual Shower, But Very Real Friends.

I happen to be an extremely lucky gal. Not only has a crazy cross-section of family and friends already made this little Roo so very, very welcomed to the world…but my bestie pals in the blogosphere have done so as well. For a couple of months now, an amazing collection of bloggers (and friends) have sent gifts to the baby (and me!) every few days. The result is a combination of birthday, Christmas, and surprise party feelings every single week.

It’s insane.

May I present to you (the stuff which arrived by press time)…The Virtual Baby Shower Thrown By Some Incredibly Talented & Wonderful Ladies:

Alison Lee from Writing, Wishing sent this incredible 3 month package from Love With Food- yummy, healthy snacks that sponsor meals for others. What a gal!

shower1

I love Aden & Anais blankies so, so, SO much. Thanks to Greta Funk at gFunkified, Roo has his/her very own, non-Nora&Suzied blankies.q

shower3

Woman sent diapers, too! YES!

shower2

Sarah Reinhart of Sunday Spill gifted “us” this adorable Taggie set- including a sweet puppy which the girls promptly named Biscuit. (I sure hope Roo has a chance to play with these.)

shower4

How flipping cute is this? Thank you, Kim Steele of Co-Pilot Mom!

shower5

Can you tell I’m desperately in need of soft fabrics in which to fall? Jennifer at Jennifer P. Williams sent these adorable Aden & Anais bibs, blankies…and diapers, people, diapers!

shower6

Laura O’Rourke from Mommy Miracles sent this awesome sleepsack swaddle. Pure comfort…pure envy that it doesn’t come in my size.

shower7.5

Deborah Gilboa, aka Ask Doc G, couldn’t resist getting these matching Christmas jammies for the girls…

shower7

…And she sent this miniature matching one for The Roo, too. (I swoon.)

shower8

Katie Sluiter of Sluiter Nation sent this gloriously soft Miracle Blanket. My expression is only because I needed a little extra comfort that day, and the blanket wasn’t seeming to fit me.

shower9

I love Converse. I also love Kristin VanderHey Shaw of Two Cannoli.

shower10

Andrea Mowery of About 100% sent awesome onesies, hilariously named diaper ointment…and some goodies for me, too! (A fabulous scarf and some delicious, quickly disappearing truffles.)

shower11

I actually had to wait a while to take this pic because I was weeping on this adorable little hippo. Jennie Goutet of A Lady in France sent a wonderful French care package, which included this little guy (whom I named Pierre), the most fantastic little onesies, and my new favorite hand cream.

shower12

I cannot handle the cuteness of these elephant shoes. Thanks to Elaine Alguire of The Miss Elaine-eous Life, I might have to eat my child’s feet when clad in these.

shower13

I could live at Target. And thanks to Tracy Morrison (of Sellabit Mum) and her gift card, I scored this waterproof crib sheet, my favorite Burt’s Bees baby oil, and these First Christmas jammies with Santa toes (which the kid will outgrow in .3 seconds, but I care not theyaresocute).

I can’t promise that these gifts make me any readier to be a Mama Of Three…but the knowledge that I’ve got virtual hugs (and, uh, snacks) from all-over-the-world pals (All Points Canadian, Malaysia, France, and from every corner of the U.S.) makes me feel fuzzy.

It could also be because of the abundance of glorious blankies…

…But I’m pretty sure it’s my friends.
