Hawks, The Arts, And Some Dress Up.

It’s recap day! Except…I don’t have a heck of a lot to report over here, writing-wise…so instead I’ll share some cool stuff that’s recently come across my desk…

…Er, laptop.

…Er, spit-up-stained yoga pants.

Onward.

So, a few of you know that I’m a Little Beans Cafe ambassador (although, sadly, I don’t get a cool sash and/or parking ticket amnesty), and they have some absolutely awesome and adorable events coming up, like their Date Night Drop-Off (which includes dinner in the price, you guys), and the off-the-wall sweet Baby Prom. Yes. BABY. PROM. How about the Super Bowl Pre-Party or- the one you know I’m gonna be all over- the Valentine’s Day Tea Party (which includes card-makin’ for parents to cry over). Check out their events and their classes here, Chicago peeps.

And this is something Smallish Keely (or, uh, Keely From Last Year) would’ve been crazy over: the next round of Chicago auditions for the Ruth Page School Of Dance (!!!) are coming up on March 20th at Northeastern Illinois University. Full deets here, but this is an incredible opportunity for dancers (ages 10 and up) to take part in the renowned Summer Intensive Program. (Do it for me. Or rather, do it for the me who would most likely accidentally knock over a barre full of tutu-ed tween girls.)

Now, onto some pictures.

For some reason, this is as big as I can get this photo. But that’s not important. The important thing is that there was a hawk, eating a carcass, atop the wall behind my alley. COME VISIT SCENIC ALBANY PARK, CHICAGO, PEOPLE!

I am totally keeping Jasper indoors until July.

And some days are just fancier than others. But that doesn’t surprise you, right?

Have a fancy day, friends.
