Flash Chicago Theatre Giveaway For Rose And The Rime!

Okay, friends, I’ve got a quickie giveaway for a 4-pack of tickets to The House Theatre of Chicago’s awesome all-ages show Rose and the Rime. And this one is pure fun: although written for adults, this adventure tale of “a little town by a big lake” in the grips of a perpetual icy winter and a quest for a magical coin is suitable for kiddos ages six and up. (Hey Chicagoans: does that “perpetual” bit strike a chilly chord?) With spectacular staging and the kind of ridiculously cool music and dance which have become The House’s signature, you’ll definitely dig this one.

The extension of Rose and the Rime runs until March 23rd at The Chopin Theater, then this show will pack up and hit the road for The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. And with ticket prices ranging from 20-45 bucks, You. Are. Getting. A . Steal. Also? Tickets can be redeemed as soon as this coming Thursday- just in time to banish those Week After Valentine’s Day/Candy Overload/Okay, Maybe Just A Bit More Candy doldrums.

Here are a few reasons why you should jump on the chance to see their latest hit:

  • I’ve been a fan of The House for years; every time I see one of their stylized performances, I decide that I need to be doing/writing/seeing more theatre.
  • This one, besides being fun, is getting rave reviews. The Chicago Tribune calls it “…a likable, poignant, gently involving show….and full of inventive physical staging.”
  • You (and three of your best pals/children/seatmates on the CTA) get to see this super-rad production for free. All you have to do to be eligible is a) be local (or local enough to see this one!), b) leave a comment below, and c) click on a few of the super non-threatening Rafflecopter entries below. Cinchy, right?

This giveaway ends at midnight on Tuesday, so…go. Go now. Enter and win and have a theatre night on me. (Okay, not really, but I’m gonna take credit for it.) All part of the service here, folks- bringin’ the [free!] culture.

And buyin’ the discounted candy so you won’t be tempted to.

You’re welcome.
