Johnson’s Baby Intense Moisture Cream (& Cold, Cold Chicago).

Thank you to Johnson’s Baby Intense Moisture Cream for sponsoring this post. I LOVE me some Johnson’s!

Chicago can get rather cold-ish in the winter. (Native Chicagoans are currently laughing at me and mentally asking that I define “winter.” Okay, for about eight months.)

And during that “season,” skin can get kinda dry.

Especially when you’ve spent an entire winter’s afternoon sledding down some “hills” (and especially when you have to walk a fair distance to find some real sledding “hills”…in Illinois…in the middle of Chicago) and need to bundle up one’s various offspring for half an hour.

“Can you move your arms? No? Me neither.”

And even though the “hill” isn’t a crazy ascent by any stretch of the imagination, you still find yourself lugging two kids and a sled- and when did the plastic sled start feeling like it weighs a gazillion pounds, is someone loading the thing up with rocks?- and wondering if it’s possible to overheat in the dead of January in the midst of a snowstorm.

So you fall to the ground and your delighted kids (thinking you’re prepping to make some completely off-the-charts snow angels) join you. And you remember how awesome it is to be outside in the cold and snow and weather and watch your kids do the exact same things you did just a few years ago.

Obviously you say yes when your rosy-cheeked urchins beg for hot chocolate with just a few- or twelve- marshmallows upon your return to the homestead (after unbundling them for half an hour), because this kinda flurrying only happens every now and again (for eight months) and you should really be taking advantage of this fleeting time.

With a steaming, chocolate-y mug of your own. With twelve marshmallows.

But YES, as I was saying…skin can get dry. Super wicked dry. But if you’ve been a parent for any stretch of time, you probably own stock what with the number of Johnson & Johnson products you already horde for your baby.

And now you can add a new one to the family: Johnson’s Baby Intense Moisture Cream, especially formulated for dry skin relief. Which is a relief, especially for my itchtacular children (and their eight months-preggo Mama, whose belly won’t stop with the cray-cray itchiness).

Guess what my favorite thing about this awesome new cream is? It’s gentle, meaning that my younger daughter (the one who’s been publicly referred to as Rashley Judd or Rashlee Simpson) can use it with stellar results. (And I’m not kidding. My belly really likes this lotion. As do my elbows. And feet. Or they would, if someone could reach them.)

So everyone can remain moisturized and smooth and ready to face the elements again…

…Or at least watch them through the picture window, while drinking all the cocoa.
