Spring breaking with Pearachute (and a last-chance deal!)

Disclosure: I’m thrilled to be working as a Pearachute Kids ambassador. Check it out: baby classes! Little kid stories and activities! Bigger kid sports and fine arts! Sibling classes! Drop offfffffs! Even though I’m being compensated for my posts, all thoughts, opinions, and gloriously tired-out children are entirely my own.

Curious as to what Pearachuting those tiny kiddos of mine have been up to lately?

In “Pearachute About Town” News:

Nora and Susannah rocked a Minnow class at the British Swim School. (And with the comped parking facility, half an hour class time, and super friendly instructors, I rocked the whole “my kids’ classes aren’t driving me absolutely insane” thing.)

The two littles loved the Stomp & Shout music, dance, and instrument-happy class in Logan Square. Major plus: it takes place at the gorgeous Stan Mansion- yes, mansion. (Related: does anyone else ever fight the need to mash the names into the “Stansion?” No? Anyone? Yes?)

Jasper thought he was getting away with all sorts of grownup craziness at Little Beans’ toddler-friendly lightswitch corner. (As P.J. marveled, “This is genius. Little kids, light switches, GENIUS.”)

Nora was already all-in when I told her about the Crafternoon at the Wishcraft Workshop (remember where she had her radder than rad 5th birthday party?), but upon learning that some kindy pals were already registered for that day as well…hoo boy.

Yeah, but what ELSE have they been doing?

  • Super Soccer Stars at Big Beans (driving home the awesomeness of not signing up for a full 8 week session of anything before realizing that your team-averse 2 year-old only wants to help clean up)
  • More open plays all across town- for all three!
  • A playdate where I took Jasper and his best pal Rosie to Evanston’s Little Beans and totally got work done while they played house and climbed ladders and drove cars and read adorable little baby books to each other.
  • Last week’s tot bowling at Pinstripes was scooted to later because of a sickie blondie (driving home the awesomeness of a no-penalty reschedule the morning of)
  • And this week? A pre-nap exhaustion session of jumpin’ at (Near North’s) Pump It Up and a new (to us) play space at Kid City in the West Loop!

Guys, GUYS. There’s a tiny bit of time left to take advantage of the killer $29/first month’s membership. (Your first month starts when you sign up!) Chicago: Spring break is almost upon us (and for some of y’all it’s already here). This deal? Pays for itself within 2 spring break morning activities. Go. Go go go go!

Seeya there. I’ll be the one with a cup of coffee and the unmistakable glow of a Mama who didn’t spend a gazillion bucks on spring break fun.

I might even looked rested.
